MAP-1 OUTPUT to MidiMan splitter. Midiman OUT#1 to Jim's Fastlane MIDI INPUT B. Midiman OUT#2 to Gus's
Fastlane MIDI INPUT A. MAP-1 MIDI THRU to Jim's Fastlane MIDI INPUT A. (INPUT A is used for PC-1600 remote
control of Reason, INPUT B is used for MIDI clock.)
Audio Connections:
Both copies of Reason are set up to use 3 outputs--a stereo mix, and a mono channel for bass.
Correspondingly, three outputs on each EMI 2|6 are used. The MX-602a mixer has two mono input channels, and
two stereo input channels. This arrangement provides better realtime EQing of bass sounds, and also better
overall audio headroom--as well as improving the overall sound quality, as compared to using the 1/8" stereo
outputs of the iBooks. Additionally, the microphone output is routed to an input on the MicroModular, which
then runs into the Nanoverb, and finally into the FX return buss (used in mono mode) on the MX-602a.
